Southwest Ballet Theatre is a nonprofit, pre-professional ballet company that brings high quality, professional ballet performances to the West Valley community. In partnership with Estrella Mountain Community College and with the support of the community and federal grants, Southwest Ballet Theatre trains the next generation of dancers and stages full-length ballet productions with guest artists from around the Valley.
We are a non-profit, pre-professional dance company located in Avondale. We train students from ages three to adult and provide unique performing opportunities onstage at Estrella Mountain Community College. Since 2015, we have produced two ballet shows a year: an annual Nutcracker and spring shows such as Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, and more.
Our goal is to encourage learning in a positive, nurturing, and developmentally sound environment while building on the principles of ballet technique for students of all levels, recreational through pre-professional. Classes include ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, contemporary, teen/adult tap, Flamenco, Adaptive, master classes and tuition-free ballet classes for boys.
