A new concept is being explored to bring an indoor dog swim park to Surprise, Arizona, and local residents are invited to help shape the vision.
The idea centers around creating a climate-controlled facility designed specifically for dogs, featuring a safe indoor swimming pool with beach-style entry, an indoor turf play yard with agility equipment, and an outdoor shaded play space. The goal is to provide year-round enrichment opportunities for dogs and their families in a safe, fun, and clean environment. Something especially important in Arizona’s extreme heat.
To determine community demand and ensure the project reflects what local dog owners want most, the project team has launched a short community survey. The survey takes only a few minutes and asks dog owners about their interest in swim sessions, play memberships, and other possible amenities.
“We know Surprise is a community of dog lovers, and we want to hear directly from residents before moving forward,” said Carrie Warren, project coordinator. “This is your chance to tell us what features matter most and whether this type of facility would be valuable for your family.”
How to Participate
Residents can complete the survey online at: https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/y8Dz67
Feedback will guide decisions about pricing, membership options, and facility features. Survey responses will also help demonstrate community support as the project team evaluates possible locations in the North Copper Canyon and greater Surprise area.
About the Project
The Indoor Dog Swim Park concept is rooted in a simple mission: to create a safe, fun, and accessible place where dogs can swim, play, and thrive year-round, while giving pet parents peace of mind. If supported, this facility would be the first of its kind in Surprise, setting a new standard for dog-friendly amenities in the West Valley.
